Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali has announced that the Telangana Government would include a chapter on the Asaf Jahi rulers of Hyderabad in the school syllabus.
Speaking to media persons after paying floral tributes to last Nizam Mir Osman Ali Khan on his 49th death anniversary at Masjid Jodi in King Koti here on Sunday, the Deputy CM said that the history of Nizams would be included in the school syllabus and the achievements of Nizams, especially the last king Mir Osman Ali Khan would be taught to the young generations. He said that the Nizams were most secular rulers and made huge contribution in the development of Hyderabad.
Mahmood Ali said that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao was firm on including a chapter on Nizams in the syllabus. He also accused the opposition parties of trying to defame the TRS Government through baseless allegations and criticism. (INN)
