Health Minister Dr C Laksham Reddy today said that Health and Family Welfare department got a national award for 2017 e-governance and better services. The minister said that a Centre has offered CSI Nihilant-2017 e governance for reforms, computerization and transparency.
Health Commissioner Vakati Karuna will receive the award in Kolkata on Jan 19, he said. The minister appreciated the health officials for the award. The Centre has chosen Telangana in health for the best e governance state-award of recognition (Health and well being), the minister said. He said that the health wing has improved its facilities with latest equipment and offering better services. This led to increase in OP and IP besides better patronage for KCR Kits and welfare schemes. He attributed the development to the commitment of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. Under KCR’s direction, the health department made efforts to get basic infrastructure, expanded facilities, improved health services, he added.(NSS)
