TS gets 163 and AP 211 IAS Officers

The Union Home Ministry has successfully completed the process of allocation of IAS cadre officers among two States of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. While Telangana State got 163 IAS officials, its AP counterpart was allotted 211 officials.

During a high-level meeting, the Union Home Ministry has given a green signal to Prathyush Sinha Committee’s report on the allocation of officials. Based on Roster Method and in 13 and 10 proportion, the distribution of officials was completed and the Centre has given a go ahead, according to information.

It is learnt that the exercise relating to IPS and IFS officials is likely to be over by this evening. It may be stated that the allocation could see the completion of process involving a big exercise only after Chief Ministers of the two States K Chandrashekhar Rao and N Chandrababu Naidu had a meeting in conducive environment in this regard.

Interestingly, Chandrababu Naidu agreed to a request of KCR to retain Rajiv Sharma and swap other officials, who were allotted to AP earlier. At the behest of Governor ESL Narasimhan, who convinced the Chief Ministers to come to terms and resolve the issues, a cordial meeting followed by a conclusion to have a free hand in allocating officers paved an easy way for shifting and retaining of the officials of their choice.

Subsequently, Telangana State got IAS officials including Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma, MJ Gopal, Smitha Sabarwal, Rahul Bojja, Anil Singhani, JSP Prasad, Shantha Kumari, Veena Eash, Rajeswar Tiwari, Ajay Mishra, AK Farida and Sanjay Kumar and others. Andhra Pradesh Government got the officials, including Sathish Chandra, Ajay Jain, ANV Mahanthi and Swetha and others. (NSS)
