TS festival in Haryana in May: Burra

Tourism Secretary Burra Venkatesham today said that the government has decided to conduct a Telangana Tourism Festival in Haryana State in May second week and Haryana will be conducting its festival here in October as part of two states strengthening their ties. Venkatesham conducted a review meeting with a delegation of Haryana officials and tourism officials and discussed on the need for strengthening the ties as part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Ek Bharatha and Shreshth Bharath” program. As part of the program to adopt a give and take policy the two states are moving forward to reflect the unity in diversity.

Telangana artistes learned Haryana’s Gumar dance and Haryana artistes learnt Telangana’s Lambada dance he said. A team of Haryana photographers will conduct a formal “Coffee Table Book in Hyderabad and our team of photographers will also make a visit soon to Haryana State for the same as part of the exchange of programs. Two states tied up on 27 issues and help spread the unit message by focusing on education, art, culture, dance, tourism, sports he said adding that Telugu University is playing a key role in this regard. Conducting festivals of one state in another will indeed help spread of the arts and culture he hoped. (NSS)
