TS Enters into an MOU with CISCO to transform the state as Digital one

CISCO has entered into an MOU with the Telangana state government on Thursday to extend help to transform the state speedily as a digital state. As part of it, CISCO will establish Digital Zone Smart City Project, Internet of Things (IOT), Innovation Hub and a Living Lab near High Tech City. The CISCO also contemplating to establish Center of Excellence and Living Lab in its T-Hub premises and Remote Education program in 10 schools in Karimnagar district and Digital Solutions at historical Quthub Shahi Toombs in Hyderabad.

           

The agreement between Telangana state and CISCO took place as part of IT Sectoral Policy release program held at High Tech City here on Thursday. IT Minister KT Ramarao and other government officials concerned and CISCO India & SAARC president Dinesh Malkani signed on the MOU.

           

As part of Golden Mile Project, CISCO will establish City Digital Platform (CDP) at High Tech City and it includes Smart Wi-Fi, Smart Parking, Smart Lightening, Traffic Analytics, Remote Expert (REGS), Smart Environmental Sensors, Smart Waste Management and Smart Control Center. With these facilities, the state would avail the services to monitor the City effectively.

           

As part of Digital Zone Project, CISCO will work in tandem with the local Eco System Solution Providers to construct Scalable Models to provide effective services to urban people across the state. It includes the services of IOT, Mobile Technology and Applications, Cloud Computing, Data Analytics, Social Media, Energy and Lightening Solutions.

           

The CISCO will establish Center of Excellence (CEO) and Living Lab in T-Hub premises. It will improve the local research along with IOT and Cyber Security Startup by facilitating required environment to find solutions. It also involve in Rapid Proto Typing and it will stood as a place to exhibit Internet of Things by bringing Startups, Accelerators, Developers, Researchers, Eco-System Partners and Venture Community to one platform.   

           

CISCO will CEO will be established in IIIT Campus located in T-Hub.

           

The CISCO also extended its services in providing quality education in rural Telangana. It will extend its help in providing Remote Interactive Education to get Virtual Expert Learning. The CISCO will establish Virtual Video Based Class Rooms in 10 schools in Karimnagar district. It will facilitate the schools Content Digital Sharing, Live Streaming, Recording and Education Storage.

          

  CISCO will digitalise the historical Quthub Shahi Toombs as part of Telangana State Digital Blue Print. With the digitalization of Quthub Shahi Toombs, the tourists will experience great experience.

           

Speaking on this occasion, IT Minister Ramarao said that the investors were showing interest to transform the state as digital state. The government will transform the Hyderabad as an IT Center and it will spread the same to three places in the state, he said. He wished that the Hyderabad will become a Knowledge and Technology Hub to the nation. The MOU with CISCO will make the state digital one, he hoped.

           

Dinesh Malkani said that digitization plays key role for the growth of GDP and new inventions and new job opportunities. Expressing happiness over the MOU, Malkani said that CISCO will fulfill the aim of the Telangana state dream of making digital state. (NSS)
