Hyderabad: Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET) 2018 results were declared today by the State Education Minister Kadiyam Srihari. “The exam was conducted in the online mode for the first time and we have successfully organized it without any malpractices,” said the EAMCET 2018 convenor N. Yadaiah at a press conference.
Ayyapu Venkata Phani Vamsinath (95.72 percent) of Ranga Reddy district in Telangana bagged the first rank in Engineering and Gattu Mytraya of Hyderabad secured the second spot with 95.69 percent. In the agriculture and pharmacy stream, Perigela Namratha of Kurnool secured the top rank with 93.38 percent and Y Sanjveea Kumar Reddy of Hyderabad secured the second rank with 92.27 percent.
Kadiyam Srihari complimented the JNTU officials and staff members for successfully conducting the test online for the first time.
A total of 1,36,305 candidates had appeared for the Engineering stream of which 1,06,646 were qualified. Similarly, in AM steam, 66,858 candidates took the entrance test and 60,651 cleared it.
The TS EAMCET was conducted on computer based test mode for the first at 87 test centers in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh from May 2 to 7.
The first phase of seat allotment will be made on June 8 and the students can join the college from June 12. The Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture, and Medical Common Entrance Test -2018 (TS Eamcet 2018) was held on May 2 and the preliminary key of the exam was released on May 8.
The Jawaharlal Technological University has conducted the exam on behalf of the TSCHE. For the agriculture and medical related courses the exam was conducted from May 2 and May 3 while for the engineering stream, it was held from May 4 to May 7.(NSS)
