Hyderabad: A girl student, a native of Nawabpet in Medak District died of Dengue Fever yesterday. She was studying in X class.
According to the details, N. Koya was suffering from acute fever. When her health deteriorated, school management informed her parents. When they reached the school, they were not allowed to see their daughter saying that she is suffering from fever and taking rest. When her health got serious, she was handed over to her parents.
After receiving preliminary treatment at a local hospital, she was shifted to a hospital in Secunderabad. Half an hour after she was admitted into the hospital, the girl expired.
Angry parents took the body of the deceased girl and placed it in the school. Later, they stopped the traffic on the highway. They were demanding justice. They staged a protest and alleged that the management of the school informed them late.
On receiving the news, DSP, Medak, Mr. Krishnamurti reached the spot along with police personnel and made an attempt to control the situation.
Later, Mr. Nagesh, Jt. Collector and RDO, Mr. Sairam also reached there. They spoke to the Principal of the school and sought the details. The irate parents demanded the authorities to suspend the principal of the school for his negligent behaviour.
