TS awaits Rs 241 cr from TTD: Minister

Major Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao today informed the Assembly that Telangana State should get Rs 241 crores from the Tirumala Tirupati Devastanam (TTD).
Responding to a question in the House on Wednesday, Harish Rao said the State government was sincere with regard to development of the temples. The Government would not neglect “Dhoopa, deepa, naivedyams” in the temples. The Government has already allocated budget in this regard, he said.
The minister said the Telangana Government was awaiting its share from the TTD. Revenue of the TTD will be divided as per the norms of the AP Reorganisation Act and the Government was working in this regard. Harish Rao revealed that the Government would earmark more funds for the maintenance of temples. (NSS)
