Hyderabad: Telangana Congress Committee has finalized the list of 35 candidates for Assembly elections. Although, no official announcement has been made, it is understood that Mr. Mohammed Ali Shabbir and Mr. Feroz Khan have been nominated for Kamareddy and Nampally Assembly constituencies respectively.
State Congress party is making an attempt to consolidate anti-government votes on the one hand and on the other hand, it is preparing the list of Congress candidates.
It is reported that so far, the names of 35 candidates have been finalized. The exercise of selection of candidates will continue for another two days after which the list would be given to screening committee which will forward it to the Central Election Committee headed by Ms. Sonia Gandhi. It will review the list and give its final approval.
It is understood that Ms. Sabita Indira Reddy from Maheswaram, Mr. Kartik Reddy from Rajindernagar, Mr. Revanth Reddy from Kodangal, Ms. Konda Surekha from Parkal etc have been recommended for various constituencies.
Sources indicated that if need be, certain changes could be possible in the final list.
