Hyderabad: In the wake of the possible enhancement of Assembly constituencies for Telangana State, TRS leaders seem to be happy. They have started preparing election strategy.
It is reported that Central Govt. initiated the process of increasing the number of Assembly constituencies in accordance with the assurances given under AP Reorganization Act.
Authentic sources revealed that BJP leaders of TS have been commissioned by the Center. BJP is exploring the possibilities of enhancing its base in TS. It has also been stated that Center has sought report from State leaders of BJP for enhancing the present 119 seats to 153.
BJP leaders have prepared a list on the basis of a survey. There are 5 BJP MLAs in the State Assembly. BJP is dreaming to play the role of a kingmaker in next election. It is reported that the criterion for enhancing the Assembly seats depends on the chances of BJP winning elections.
It may be mentioned that TRS has been exerting its pressure on the Center for the past three years to enhance present Assembly Constituencies. TRS expects that in the event of enhancement of the seats TRS would get more berths in which case, more candidates could be given party tickets. In case, there is no change in the present number of Assembly seats, many senior leaders might be deprived of party tickets. TRS believes that if the Assembly seats are enhanced, it will not face any losses.
Mr. KCR has sought constituency wise reports of the candidates. He has been busy in consulting his confidants at his farmhouse for the past few days to formulate election strategy.
