Nizamabad MP Kalvakuntla Kavitha has stressed the need for unity and cooperation among the two Telugu States of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to achieve common goals of development.
Speaking to media persons in New Delhi, Kavitha said that Chief Ministers of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, K. Chandrashekar Rao and N. Chandrababu Naidu, should come together to fight for their cause. She said that both the States need to adopt a united approach in order to get their voice heard at the Centre. She said by setting aside the political differences, the public representatives should work in tandem to get the best packages from the Centre for both the Telugu States.
Kavitha strongly criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for giving special package of Rs. 1.25 lakh crore for poll-bound Bihar. She said that the Prime Minister should treat all the States equally and should not give preference to only a few States. “We are very sorry to say that he has not honoured his words and he has not kept his promises. Cooperative federalism does not mean that you will only view states, which are going to elections. He has to have a equal view on all the states, she said,” she said. (INN)
