Hyderabad: In Telangana State, out of 119 MLAs, 73 have declared criminal cases against themselves. In terms of percentage, it accounts for 61% of the total MLAs of Telangana.
As per the report of the Association of Democratic Reform (ADR), there is an increase in the number of MLAs with criminal cases.
Out of the total MLAs, 47 MLAs have declared serious criminal cases against themselves.
It may be mentioned that 7 MLAs are facing attempt to murder charges whereas, 3 MLAs have declared cases related to crime against women.
