Hyderabad: Telangana State Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) nabbed the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of a temple for reportedly collecting bribe from a pujari for revoking his suspension orders from the duty.
According to published reports the CEO had demanded Rs 5 lakh from the pujari to cancel the suspension orders. However, he agreed to take Rs 1 lakh as initial payment and collect the remaining Rs 4 lakh after the suspension is revoked.
On getting to know about the timings of the illegal transaction, the ACB officials lured the official to collect the promised amount. Anjana Reddy, the CEO of Padmamma Gudi located in Jubilee Hills, walked into the trap and received the initial payment.
