Washington: US President Trump is planning to move US Embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem said White House spokesperson on Thursday amid reports of Trump’s controversial plan on declaring Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.
The White House spokesperson told the Washington Examiner that, “The president has always said it is a matter of when, not if,” and when asked about moving the embassy, he said, “The president is still considering options and we have nothing to announce.”
Trump had earlier promised to move the embassy to Jerusalem from its current location in Tel Aviv during a campaign along with plans of recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.
However, Trump had signed waiver delaying the plan for another six months.
