Medak, November 29: To protest against the arrest of TRS President K Chandrasekhara Rao, a large number of Telangana Rastra Samithi (TRS) leaders and workers staged a dharna on the Medak-Siddipet road disrupting the vehicular traffic, here today.
The TRS activists damaged the Andhra Pradesh Road Transport Corporation buses in the town and also set on fire Chinna Koduru Mandal Revenue Office.
Heavy police contingent, who spoiled the ‘fast-unto-death’ agitation by the TRS leaders by arresting the TRS MLA T Harish Rao, former Legislators Ramalinga Reddy and Padma Devender Reddy and others, reached the spot where the activists resorting to dharna.
Traffic jams were reported in the entire Medak and neighbouing areas following the road blockade.
