TRS will transform Hyderabad into an innovation hub: KTR

Hyderabad: Caretaker Minister K Tarakarama Rao today appealed to the student community to exercise their basic right to vote and elect good leaders as their representatives.

Addressing the gathering at the ‘Mana Hyderabad — Mana Andari Hyderabad’ program held in Mallareddy Engineering College in Doolapally village on the city outskirts, KCR said several IT companies, including Google, Apple, Microsoft, Facebook and Amazon have their second largest facilities in Hyderabad and created employment opportunities for several lakh local youth. KTR said this was a result of the concerted efforts and direction provided by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao. People from various parts of the country, who settled down in Hyderabad, were apprehensive of the future of the infant State. However, the TRS Government has dispelled their misgivings and ensured that the State tread the path of progress.
Talking about the life sciences sector in the state, KTR said, “Hyderabad is a hub for life sciences and a global vaccine capital. As many as 35% percent of vaccines produced across the globe are made in Hyderabad.” He also said the TRS government would take the responsibility for developing life sciences industrial clusters in the State. The minister also explained about self-certification, TS-iPASS, and tailor-made packages for mega projects in the State. He also pointed out that the TRS government was able to provide 24-hour uninterrupted power supply not only for industries but also to households and agriculture.

Recalling how curfew used to be imposed often in Hyderabad during Congress and TDP governments in the past, KTR said no curfew was imposed even for four seconds in the twin cities during the last four-and-a-half years of TRS rule. He also explained about various initiatives like Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bheema, marketing facilities, striking a sentimental cord with students, a majority of them were farmers’ children and agrarian backgrounds.

Criticizing the Congress party, KTR said if Congress came to power by chance, chief ministers would be changed every six months. The Congress party leaders were day-dreaming even before winning the elections, he wondered. Before signing off, KTR again appealed to the students to cast their votes in the elections.

Medchal TRS MLA candidate Malla Reddy also participated in the program.
