Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari today said the TRS will have a cake-walk in Warangal parliamentary bypoll and retain it by a huge majority of votes.
Speaking at a program, along with party leaders at Warangal, the Deputy Chief Minister said the cacophonous Opposition parties cannot wrest the seat despite their conspiracies. While the Telugu Desam-BJP combine was yet to choose a suitable candidate to be fielded, Srihari ridiculed the Congress leadership for fielding former MP Sircilla Rajaiah, who was defeated at the hands of TRS candidate last time. The Deputy CM exuded confidence that the people of the parliamentary constituency would vote for the ruling party en masse for its welfare schemes.
The Deputy Chief Minister also alleged that the jealousy Opposition parties were bent upon throwing mud on the TRS government as it was implementing welfare and development schemes, though some of them were not mentioned in its Manifesto. Srihari said Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao picked up P. Dayakar for the bypoll and offered him election expenses. “I have no doubt our candidate will win the bypoll as there is no chance for the Opposition parties”, he felt. Pensions, fine rice to hostels, Kalyan Lakshmi, double bedroom scheme for the poor and others are reaching the poor and needy classes, he added. (NSS)
