TRS will unfurl its pink flag on the GHMC by winning at least 100 seats out of 150, according to Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav.
Addressing a press conference at TRS Bhavan after a TRS Legislature party meeting chaired by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao here, he said that they will contest alone in the elections and win majority of the seats. The TRS will see the same mandate it got from previous Warangal, Cantonment and the MLC elections, he said. As the people are in favour of the TRS, they will not have alliance with other political parties. He said that the leaders from other parties joining the TRS for development of the state. The minister charged that the opposition leaders were making baseless comments on the ruling party.
In the meeting earlier KCR exuded confidence that the TRS will win the Mayor seat as people would support their welfare schemes during 18 month rule. He asked the ministers, MPs, MLAs and MPs and other leaders to prepare to win the elections by taking the welfare schemes to the people. KCR reportedly asked ministers Harish Rao, KT Rama Rao and Kavitha to take the lead in GHMC elections and Narayankhed by-poll.(NSS)
