TRS will form first government in Telangana State, according to its Secretary General K Kesava Rao. The TRS will also play a key role in National and State politics in the near future, he said.
Speaking to media persons here on Thursday, Keshav Rao said they have already held formal discussions with national leaders in this regard. He claimed that they will clinch majority of seats in the region and form the first government. After the huge turnout of the electors and polling percentage crossing 73% mark, the TRS will get clear mandate, he stated.
KK stated that the TRS will implement its Manifesto on coming to power. “Our ultimate aim is to develop Telangana in all sectors”, Rao said. It is being confirmed that TRS will sure get adequate seats to form the government, he asserted. He also ruled out that the Congress will not get majority to come to power.
When asked, KK said despite according Statehood to Telangana, the Congress will not get the magic figure. The people have lost faith in the Congress, he said. The people have now voted the TRS in the general elections as they are aware of 14 years of persistent movement and struggle.
He also found fault with Seemandhra leaders for their provocative speeches. He demanded that Election Commission and Governor ESL Narasimhan to take as suo moto case against them for violating code of conduct and resorting to continue hate speech. Rao alleged that money and liquor being used to influence the electors by some parties. He sought that the Government should conduct an inquiry and punish the guilty. This phenomenon is not good for our democracy, he said. (NSS)
