TRS senior leader and Siddipet MLA T. Harish Rao on Sunday demanded that the State government constitute an award in the name of world-famous painting artiste of Telangana region late Kapu Rajaiah.
The TRS leader was speaking at the Kapu Rajaiah memorial meeting organized under the aegis of Manjeera Rachayithala Sangham in Siddipet. He urged the government to constitute Kapu Rajaiah Award under the aegis of the Potti Sri Ramulu Telugu University and present the same to one eligible artiste every year.
Nandini Siddha Reddy, Deshapathi Srinivas, CPI leader Sirajuddin, painting artiste Ramana Reddy and several others took part in the condolence meeting and recalled the services of Kapu Rajaiah, who made the country proud. (NSS)
