TRS floor leader Etela Rajender on Friday demanded that the Speaker immediately take up discussion in the House on draft Telangana Bill.
Speaking at the Assembly media point, Rajender reminded that draft Telangana Bill has already reached the House and there was need to immediately take up a discussion on it in the House. The TRS would participate in the discussion and raise eight amendments to draft Telangana Bill pertaining to water, power, education, employment, pensions, law and order in Hyderabad in the Assembly, he said, adding that people of the region were agitating for Telangana State without any restrictions.
Stating the ongoing winter session was the last one to the Assembly of United Andhra Pradesh, he urged the Seemandhra legislators to maintain dignity in the House. He pointed out that the TRS members never damaged the dignity of the House. The Telangana people agitated peacefully for separate Telangana State, he added.
TRS MLA Pocharam Srinivas Reddy said irrespective of political parties, the ministers and MLAs from Telangana should unitedly raise voice for Telangana Statehood when draft Telangana Bill placed in the House. (NSS)
