TRS to wait till JAC meet

Hyderabad, February 14: TRS Legislature Party leader E Rajendar said that they were not ready to place their arguments before Justice Srikrishan Committee.

He said Telangana people would not welcome the committee and they would not take part in the committee hearings. Speaking to reporters at Telangana Bhavan, he said the terms of reference of the committee would not be acceptable to the Telangana people, particularly the TRS.

While disclosing the details of the party Politburo meeting which was held here Saturday, under the chairmanship of the party president K Chandrasekhar Rao, he said TRS MPs and legislators, who had decided to resign to protest the terms of reference of the committee on Telangana said they would wait till the JAC meeting before making the move. The decision came in the wake of a request from all-party JAC convenor Kodandaram to hold back their resignations till it takes a call on the matter.

Rajender said his party agreed to the request made by Kodandaram in the interest of its unity. He, however, said his party is committed to submit resignation to the Speaker as planned earlier.
