Hyderabad, August 12: The TDP leader and Rajya Sabha member, Mr Nandamuri Hari Krishna, has termed the Telangana Rashra Samithi as the Telangana Retail Sales party.
In an open letter to the people of Andhra Pradesh, Mr Hari Krishna has claimed that it was the TDP which developed the Telangana region. He said the party was brought into existence by his father late N T Rama Rao, with the support of the toiling labourers, farmers, blessings of women and support of the youth.
Claiming that the bond of the TDP with the people of Telangana was inseparable, Mr Hari Krishna alleged that the TRS was borne out of greed for power. He said that the TRS party chief was forgetting that he was once part of the TDP and was now making allegations against a party that gave him political life. He said that it was sad that the party that was founded with lofty ideals was being targeted by the TRS for its narrow political ends. He said while the TDP was Telangana Development Party, the TRS was Telangana Retail Sales party.
