TRS is ‘team B’ for BJP, says Chandrababu Naidu

Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president N Chandrababu Naidu on Monday said the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) is Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) “team B.”

Naidu, who held a roadshow in Musheerabad Assembly Constituency in Hyderabad, campaigned for Congress candidate Anil Kumar Yadav. It may be noted that Congress, TDP, Communist Party of India (CPI) and Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS) are all part of an alliance named “Praja Kutami” or people’s front.

“TRS is team B for BJP. Both (Prime Minister) Modi and K Chandrashekar Rao only speak only good things but actually did nothing for the country and state, respectively,” said Naidu. “People’s front comprises leaders who fought for the public and the state. I have a special love for Hyderabad. I developed Hyderabad with a vision. During my tenure, 165km-long outer ring road project was initiated. Metro rail project was sanctioned only due to my efforts,” he added.

Continuing his tirade against the TRS, Naidu said: “The Congress government, after my tenure, continued developmental activities. However, since the past 4.5 years, al development has come to a halt. The surplus state has become a state in losses, drowned in loans.

Naidu further alleged that KCR was making false allegations against him saying the former would come to Telangana. “There is no such chance. I wish both Telugu states to be developed. I want all Telugu people to be happy,” he added.

Telangana Assembly elections are due on December 7 while counting of votes will take place on December 11.
