TRS-TDP war intensifies

Hyderabad, September 27: The fight between the TDP and the TRS is hotting up. TRS activists are disrupting the meetings of the TDP leaders. This is apparently intended to hit back at the TDP for calling Chandrasekhar Rao as the only stumbling block for formation of Telangana state and digging into Rao’s past to attack him personally.

In Hyderabad and Karimnagar, TRS activists disrupted the meetings to be addressed by T Devender Goud and N Janardhan Reddy.

TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao and deputy leader of the party in the Assembly T Harish Rao lashed out at Chandrababu Naidu, portraying him as the prinicpal villain in formation of Telangana state.

TRS workers disrupted the meeting of senior TD leader T Devender Goud in Uppal in Hyderabad this morning.

Activists of the TRS student wing raised slogans in favour of Telangana and protested against Goud’s remarks against the TRS chief. Though Goud tried to pacify them, they did not relent and demanded a clear stand from the TDP on Telangana.

When the TRS students besieged Goud, the TDP activists present there attacked the TRS students. There was a tussle between the two groups and in the melee a TRS activist sustained simple injuries.

Police arrested the TRS activists and paved the way for the TDP meeting.

Addressing workers later, Goud said the TDP was no hurdle for the formation of Telangana.

The TRS activists were unnecessarily targeting the TDP. He alleged that the TRS could not face the TDP politically and resorting to attacks. Goud warned that the TDP would not tolerate such acts.

Devender Goud and TDP MLAs faced the wrath of TRS activists yesterday at Vikarabad in Ranga Reddy district. TRS activists obstructed Goud’s convoy and later they disturbed the TDP meeting forcing the TDP leaders to raise ‘Jai Telangana’ slogans.

Nagam obstructed in Karimnagar

TRS activists obstructed TDP politburo member Nagam Janardhan Reddy at Laxmidevipalli of Gangadhara mandal in the district, when he was on his way to Karimnagar.

However, with the timely intervention of the police, Janardhan Reddy reached Karimnagar safely.
