Hyderabad, June 14: PCC president D Srinivas has asked the party cadres to spread the message that the party leaders were united and would be able to deliver Telangana.
Talking with reporters after a review of the poll preparedness, he said told the district leaders not to worry about the warnings of the TRS or JAC. He said they were doing their job and there was no need to spell out their stand everyday to the media.
Former minister Md Ali Shabeer dismissed the contention that by elections would cannot be treated as a referendum on any issue.“ If the last general elections were to be considered a referendum, the TRS shoudl have closed its shop by now,’’ he said.. The Congress would contest the elections on Telangana and development slogans, he asserted.
Medak district MLA Nandeeshwar Goud and T Jayaprakash Reddy said they would abide by the party high command’s decision.
Ministers J Geeta Reddy, V Sunita Laxmareddy, D Rajanarsimha, DK Aruna, Ponnala Laxmaiah, D Sridhar Babu and P Sudarshan Reddy, MPs Suresh Shetkar (Zaherabad) and S Rajaiah (Warangal), DCC presidents G Gangadhar ( Nizamabad) G Venkataramana Reddy (Warangal) were among the prominent personalities who attended the election preparatory meetings.
