Hyderabad, June 11:The executive of Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) which met here on Friday under the presidentship of K. Chandrasekhar Rao endorsed the decisions taken by Telangana Joint Action Committee (JAC) yesterday to intensify the separate Telangana agitation this month.
To implement the call given by the JAC to organise ‘cooking on roads’ programme in Hyderabad on June 19, the TRS decided to appoint in-charges who will be assisted by party supporters in all the 150 municipal divisions. The teams will visit every household to request inmates to take to roads and camp there from 9 a.m., to 2 p.m., said TRS floor leader in Assembly Eatala Rajender.
He told a press conference that the TRS president himself would consume food on the road near his house in Banjara Hills. A preparatory meeting for the success of the programme would be held at Jagadgirigutta on Monday.
As regards ‘Chalo Hyderabad’ proposed by JAC, Mr. Rajender said it was decided to organise the programme in a big way whenever the date was finalised. It would be twice as big as the ‘million march’ on March 10.
Answering a question, he said the appointment of C. Damodar Rajanarasimha as Deputy Chief Minister was a step by Congress to appease its leaders with posts.
