The Telangana Rashtra Samithi has strongly opposed the demand for Rayala Telangana.
Speaking to media persons here on Sunday, TRS politburo member Shravan said that the Rayala-Telangana proposal was aimed at diverting the attention of people from the ongoing process of formation of Telangana State. He said some leaders with vested interest were behind the proposal who wants to cause delay in the formation of Telangana. He said such proposals would only confuse the people’s mind although they are not practical.
Shravan said that the TRS strongly opposes the Rayala-Telangana proposal. He said that the Telangana State, with 10 districts and Hyderabad as its capital, should be formed by the Centre as promised by the Congress Working Committee in its resolution. He said no changes or deviations from the original proposal would be accepted. (INN)
