With the winning of four more Assembly seats in the recently held by-polls to seven Assembly constituencies in the state, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) strength will increase to 16 in the State Assembly. The TRS, who won four assembly segments with the strong sentiment of ‘Telangana statehood, will increase their legislators strength to 16 against 12 in the House. TRS Candidates T.Rajaiah won from station Ghanpur(Warangal District), Gampa Goverdhan (Kamareddi) while Jupalli Krishna Rao has retained his Kollapur seat and Jogi Ramanna won Adilabad Assembly Constituency. Former Minister Jupalli, who was elected as Congress candidate in 2009, resigned from Congress , relinquished Ministerial position and joined the TRS, protesting Congress party’s attitude towards Telangana.
