TRS ridicules Uttam’s allegations on irrigation tenders

Hyderabad: TRS MP Jithender Reddy has ridiculed the statement of TPCC President N. Uttam Kumar Reddy alleging irregularities in the tender process of Palamuru Ranga Reddy Lift Irrigation Scheme.

Speaking to media persons here on Saturday, Jithender Reddy asked as to how irregularities and scam could be committed without even opening the tenders of Palamuru project. He said that the tender process was still on. He described Uttam Kumar Reddy’s reaction on tender process as too premature.

Jithender Reddy alleged that huge irregularities took place in the execution of projects during previous Congress regime. He said that the then Chief Minister Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy had paid hundreds of crores of rupees to contractors in the name of advance and mobilisation. He claimed that the TRS Government has invited the tenders in a completely transparent manner. He said lower bidders were allotted tenders in the Mission Bhagiratha works. (INN)
