TRS rebel MLC Konda Murali resigns from MLC post to uphold politics values

Hyderabad: The ruling TRS party’s rebel MLC and Congress leader Konda Murali resigned from his post on Saturday. He met with Council chairman K. Swamy Goud and submitted his resignation letter.
Murali was accompanied by his wife during his meeting with the chairman. Interestingly, the resignation of Murali comes in the wake of a complaint lodged by the ruling TRS party with the chairman urging him to take action against all the rebel MLCs of the party a couple of days ago.

Addressing media persons after tendering his resignation, Murali said he was the first MLC to be elected unanimously in the entire State. He said he had resigned from his post as he always believes in value-based politics. He also alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was trying to decimate Opposition in the State legislature by luring the Opposition party MLAs to his fold. He also made it clear that posts were not important to him and he always believes in serving the people.

Murali’s wife and former MLA Konda Surekha claimed that his husband had not won on the B-form given by KCR but with the support of the people of the State. She also alleged that the ruling party had won the elections by misusing power and spending Rs 50 crore to defeat those who questioned “anti-people” policies of the State government.
