TRS President remanded in judicial custody, tension prevails

Khammam, November 29: Tension prevailed near the Khammam Sub Jail while the Police moving Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) President K Chandrasekhara Rao to the jail after the magistrate remanded him to 14 days judicial custody.

Earier, police booked cases against Rao under sections 147, 114, 117, 120b IPC in the Two Town Police Station and produced before the Khammam Magistrate who remanded him to 14 days judicial custody.

The judge rejected the plea of Rao for providing medical treatment, bail and also the reason for his arrest.

Meanwhile, a large number of TRS leaders and workers staged a dharna in front of Khammam sub-jail in protest against the arrest of their leader.

The police also arrested TRS Parliament member Vijayashanti when she tried to seize the Medak District Superintendent of police office at Sangareddy.
