TRS picks Mohammed Fareeduddin for council seat

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has decided to field former minister Mohammed Fareeduddin as the party’s candidate for the MLC seat. It must be noted that the seat fell vacant after Tummala Nageswara Rao resigned to it following his victory from Palair Assembly segment recently. Mohammed Fareeduddin will contest as TRS candidate for the seat in by-elections.

Mohammed Fareeduddin won Zaheerabad assembly constituency in 2004 and he was given the portfolio of Minority Welfare in Dr. YS Rajshekhar Reddy’s cabinet. Later he contested Amberpet assembly constituency on Congress ticket but lost.

After Mohammed Fareeduddin joined TRS it helped the party to get closer to minorities.
