TRS opposes rationalisation of teaching posts

Telangana Rashtra Samithi former MP B Vinod Kumar on Monday demanded the State Government withdraw the GO No 33 which proposes Commissioner of Collegiate Education to obtain actual workload in government colleges and private aided degree colleges as per the strength of students for rationalizing the teaching posts in colleges in the State.

Talking to media persons at TRS Bhavan, Vinod said that the lecturers in government and aided colleges would suffer major injustice due to rationalizing of teaching posts in the Telangana region. Stating that very few colleges exist in the Telangana region, he said the removal of teaching faculty in the name of GO would cause huge injustice to the students community in the Telangana region.

The GO also permits the government to cancel recognition for college if the students number does not cross 20, he pointed out. He appealed to government to resolve the issue on top priority as the lives of thousands of teaching faculty members and students would be at jeopardy. (INN)
