TRS MPs should raise their voice in Parliament for 12% reservations: Amer Ali Khan

Hyderabad: News Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily, Mr. Amer Ali Khan told the TRS MPs to raise their voice in Parliament for Muslim reservations. He was addressing a public meeting at Kohir on 6th February.

Congress MLA, Dr. J. Geetha Reddy assured that she would raise the voice of Mr. Amer Ali Khan as the voice of Muslims in the TS Assembly.

Joint Action Committee of Kohir had organized this meeting. A memorandum was presented to Tehsildar, Kohir.

Mr. Amer Ali Khan told that Mr. KCR had promised during his election campaign that he would provide 12% reservation to Muslims within 4 months of TRS assuming power in Telangana State but he could not fulfil his promise even after the lapse of around 4 years. In order to exert pressure on the Govt., a campaign was launched for getting 12% reservations which was supported by all the political parties and their leaders rising above their political affiliations.

Mr. Amer Ali Khan further told that it is duty of living nations to struggle for their rights. After the campaign reached its heights, the government passed a resolution in Assembly and Council and sent it to the Central Govt. Even the CM does not know the present status of this resolution.

It was therefore decided to launch a campaign again in order to exert pressure on the Govt. This campaign would be organized from 26th January to 15th August. People are welcoming this decision. Now the time has come to raise voice in the Parliament session in order to exert pressure on the Central Govt. He requested TRS MPs to raise their voice in Parliament in order to fulfil the promise made by Mr. KCR.

Quoting from Quran, Mr. Amer Ali Khan told that Allah (SWT) does not change the condition of a nation unless it changes itself.

Pointing at the mistake committed by the former leaders, Mr. Amer Ali Khan told that we are facing its brunt. If we repeat the same mistake, future generation will never forgive us. He told that in order to muster support for 12% reservation, he is visiting districts of Telangana State. In his visits, he also identified talented Muslim students.

He made a reference to a student of Urdu medium Junaid who completed his education in Hyderabad. He is earning Rs. 90000 per month at Infosys. He told that he is campaigning for Muslim reservations rising above politics. He mentioned that CM has the jurisdiction to prepare a sub-plan for Muslims on a par with SCs and STs which will be of Rs. twenty thousand crore.

Giving the details of the benefits derived by the Muslims on account of 4% reservations provided by the previous Congress Govt. Mr. Amer Ali Khan informed that 50000 students are becoming Engineering Graduates and nearly 10000 students are getting admissions in various other courses. There are 5 lakh Muslim families in TS. If 12% reservation is provided, every year, one lakh students would get the benefit.

Dr. J. Geetha Reddy, Congress MLA assured that she would raise her voice in Assembly in support of 12% reservation. She mentioned that she has family relations with Zahid Ali Khan, Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily. She applauded the efforts of Mr. Amer Ali Khan who is touring the districts to create awareness among the Muslims for reservations. She appealed to all the Muslims to extend support to Mr. Amer Ali Khan’s campaign.

Mr. Y. Narotham, TDP incharge of Zaheerabad constituency told that various parties ruled the country by dividing the Muslims.

Mr. Mohammed Abdul Khadir Faisal, Secretary, Telangana Union of Working Journalists highlighted the efforts of Siasat Urdu Daily for launching reservation campaign and other welfare activities. He said that Mr. Amer Ali Khan toured 2000 km and addressed more than 150 public meetings from Khammam to Zaheerabad and from Adilabad to Mehboob Nagar.

He pointed out that Kohir Gram Panchayat and Mandal Parishad has the honour of passing the resolution for 12% reservation for Muslims. He mentioned that Dr. Ambedkar had advised Maulana Azad to suggest reservations for Muslims which he didn’t accept.

Mr. Mohammed Shamsheer Ali, President of Town Congress Committee told that 12% reservation campaign has turned into a revolution. Amer of Jamat-e-Islami of Kohir Mandal, Mr. Mohammed Akbar fully supported the campaign for reservations.
