TRS Manifesto to outfox Mahakootami: KK

Hyderabad: In all likelihood, the TRS leadership is mulling options on coming up with a better and enticing manifesto for the coming elections to outwit the Congress allies, which are luring the people with tall and incredible promises.

Weighting pros and cons on the Congress manifesto promises and coupled with the suggestions and inputs by people, the TRS hierarchy is getting ready for the manifesto, which was almost drafted and the committee will finalize the manifesto which is expected to be more attractive than the previous one.

Having already announced, KCR is to finalize the amount of pension to be increased in the manifesto as the Opposition Congress made a promise to double the pension amount to Rs 2,000. The TRS Manifesto is to include several schemes that will be more better than what the Opposition parties are announcing now in the wake of Elections due to be held on December 7. On finalizing the manifesto, the TRS will submit a copy to the Election Commission.

In addition to the existing flagship programs, the TRS is keen to come up with unemployed allowance, some changes crop loan waiver and housing schemes, financial help to the poor to build houses in the vacant land and many others including 20 subjects. The TRS Manifesto Committee, which met twice so far, will meet at Telangana Bhavan on October 16 at 2.30 pm, according to its Chairman and MP K Keshava Rao. He said TRS chief and caretaker Chief Minister KCR will attend the meeting to discuss and finalize the manifesto for the upcoming polls.

Keshava Rao asked all the committee members to attend the meeting. The committee members include T Harish Rao, Etala Rajender, G Jagadish Reddy, Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Padma Rao Goud, Ajmira Chandulal, Tummala Nageshwar Rao, MPs Jithender Reddy, Nagesh, K Eshwar, Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, MLC Fareeduddin, former minister P Ramulu and former MP G Sudha Rani.

Keshav Rao said the Manifesto Committee has received several suggestions and instructions and the meeting will discuss on the same before finalizing the inputs. The TRS supremo is to take a final call on the election manifesto which will focus on more welfare and development in the State. The meeting gets importance as the Manifesto is to come up with several other attractive schemes of welfare, funds to develop poor sections, plans for inclusive growth and all-round development and reach out the unreached sections and a hike in pensions for various categories.
