Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Sunday claimed that his government was working hard to turn the dreams of Prof. Jayashankar into a reality by developing Telangana State.
Addressing a meeting at Telangana Bhavan in connection with the fourth anniversary of Prof Jayashankar, KCR said that the welfare schemes and developmental measures would give peace to the soul of late Professor who lived his entire life thinking about Telangana’s welfare. Recalling his role in the Telangana formation, he said it was Prof Jayashankar gave the right direction to the statehood movement.
Earlier, Home Ministery Nayani Narasimha Reddy claimed that all the promises made in the TRS Manifesto was originally prepared by Prof Jayashankar. He said that the TRS Government would strive hard to fulfill all the promises. He also praised KCR for successfully running the State Government.
Addressing the meeting, Panchayat Raj Minister K Tarakarama Rao said that the new district to be formed in Warangal would be named after Prof Jayashankar. He said that the State Government has already named Agriculture University after Prof Jayashankar.
Lok Sabha MP Vinod Kumar, State Ministers, legislators and other leaders also addressed the meeting. (INN)
