Police arrested TRS MLAs and shifted them to Narsingi Police Station when the latter tried to stop Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy at Rayadurgam when he came there to lay foundation stone for Gaming Animation Media Entertainment (GAME) Park.
TRS legislators Harish Rao, Odelu, Rajaiah, Bixapathi and Jupalli Krishna Rao along with the party leaders tried to meet the Chief Minister to question on the land allotment to the GAME Park. Tension prevailed at Rayadurgam when the police arrested the TRS leaders.
Speaking to the media, Harish Rao alleged that Kiran Kumar Reddy was wantonly handing over prime lands to private firms in the Telangana region. Instead of protecting the heritage place, Kiran Kumar Reddy allotted the land for setting up of GAME Park. He termed Kiran Kumar Reddy government as police rule. He alleged that Kiran Kumar Reddy was trying to amass illegal wealth before stepping down from the Chief Minister’s post.
Harish Rao asked whether the Chief Minister does not know the fact that an inquiry committee headed by Chief Secretary was probing the land issue in survey no 83/1 in Rayadurgam where the CM laid foundation stone to GAME Park. He also criticized the Chief Minister for laying foundation stone for a project in the controversial land. (NSS)
