The Telangana Rashtra Samithi will launch its campaign for the by-elections in Parakala assembly constituency of Warangal district from May 2.
Briefing the media about the decisions taken during a meeting of TRS president K Chandrashekar Rao with the leaders of Warangal district leaders, TRS floor leader Etala Rajender said that the party would launch Palle Bata programme from May 2 to May 7 in Parakala constituency. He said besides the constituency-incharge, four TRS MLAs would also participate in the programme.
Etala said that the candidate for the Parakala seat would be announced after the conclusion of Palle Bata programme. He expressed confidence that the TRS would win the Parakala seat with a huge majority. He said the TRS had no major opposition in the constituency and it would be a clean sweep for its candidate in the by-elections to be held on June 12.
It may be mentioned that elections were necessitated in the Parakala seat due to the disqualification of Congress MLA Konda Surekha who switched loyalties to the YSR Congress party. (INN)
