TRS leaders have lashed out at Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy for his remarks that he would shift the Bayyaram iron ore to the Visakha steel plant at any cost. They said this showed the arrogance of the Chief Minister.
Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, TRS legislature party leader Eetela Rajender said the people of Telangana would give a befitting reply to the Chief Minister and his party.
It may be recalled that TRS chief K Chandrasekhara Rao had warned that there would be an earthquake if the iron ore from Bayyaram was shifted to the Visakha steel plant. In response, the Chief Minister said during his public meeting in Medak on Monday that the iron ore would be shifted only to the steel plant and he had the capacity to withstand the earthquake caused by KCR.
Eetela said the Chief Minister, who earlier declared that he would not give even a single rupee to the Telangana region had deeply hurt the sentiments of the people of the region by his fresh statement on the Bayyaram mines. He charged the ruling Congress and the main Opposition TDP with collusion and said the Congress government would have fallen any minute otherwise.
Rajender has alleged that all the Andhra parties had colluded to suppress the Telangana movement. He said it was strange that ministers and MLAs of Telangana had not said a word when Kiran spoke against Telangana. He said though Congress MPs were sitting at the Parliament gate in Delhi, there was none even to talk to them as no one was convinced of their sincerity towards Telangana. He said it looked as if the Congress MPs undertook the fast as a competition to their own agitation at the Jantar Mantar under the auspices of the JAC.
Speaking along with him, TRS MLA K T Rama Rao also condemned the statement of the Chief Minister. He demanded an apology from him to the people of Telangana. Referring to the remarks of the Chief Minister that the future of the students was being spoiled by the TRS, KTR said he was ready for a public debate on who was responsible for spoiling the future of the students.
