Former minister and senior Congress leader Danam Nagendar on Tuesday alleged that the ruling party was trying to sell utopia to the masses. He charged TRS MP Kavitha with not bothering about welfare of weaker sections.
Nagender was speaking at a rally that was organised by him at Khairatabad in the context of the GHMC elections. He alleged that the TRS MP from Nizamabad had earlier made satirical comments at Pavan Kalyan saying that actors only come out during election times like decked bulls and then disappear thereafter. “They come with make-up at election time and pack-up after that” she had said.
At the Khairatabad rally on Tuesday, Danam Nagender made references to Kavitha’s speech and found fault with it. He said Hyderabad needed the services of Pavan Kalyan. TPCC president Uttam Kumar Reddy, Shabbir Ali, Jana Reddy and other leaders participated in the rally. (NSS)
