Hyderabad: TPCC President N. Uttam Kumar Reddy on Monday demanded that the TRS Government withdraw all the cases registered against the students and faculty of University of Hyderabad.
Speaking to media persons after visiting Cherlapally Central Jail along with former union home minister Sushil Kumar Shinde and other Congress leaders, Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the TRS Government lack clarity on the UoH issue. However, he hoped that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao would keep the promise of speaking to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on removal of V. Appa Rao as the Vice-Chancellor. He said that the Chief Minister should also take action against the police personnel who brutally attacked the UoH students during their protest in UoH over return of Appa Rao.
Uttam Kumar Reddy also criticised the State Government for objection to the bail petitions of UoH students in the court. (INN)
