TRS Govt taking credit for Congress schemes: Sudheer Reddy

Former MLA D. Sudheer Reddy has alleged that the TRS Government was trying to take credit for the schemes initiated during the Congress regime.

Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan here on Thursday, Sudheer Reddy said that the then Congress Government had spent nearly Rs. 6,000 crore to get drinking water from Krishna and Godavari Rivers. While the Krishna Phase I &II were already completed, the city has started getting water from Krishna Phase III. The Godavari Phase-I too is nearly completion. He said these schemes were initiated keeping in view the drinking water needs of the city for the next 50 years. However, he said that the TRS Government is trying to act as if it initiated those projects.

Sudheer Reddy also alleged that the TRS Government was not releasing funds for the schemes launched during Congress regime. He said that the TRS Government was also renaming the projects. He said all this was being done in view of next GHMC elections. He said that the Congress party would expose the TRS Government and its failure and would win the next GHMC polls. (INN)
