Terming the TRS government as a contractors’ government, Congress MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy has alleged that the State government has allotted huge funds to the abolished works. He demanded that the State government order a comprehensive inquiry by the Vigilance department into the additional and unwanted payments to the works not done.
Speaking to the media here on Monday, Ponguleti said the government allotted Rs 520 crore to survey the Dummugudem Tail Pond and allotted Rs 395 crore additionally to 10 agencies to loot the same. He also asserted that the government paid additionally to the Rajiv Sagar and Indira Sagar projects. He said he has addressed a letter to Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao in this regard today.
Ponguleti also demanded that the government order an inquiry into the excess estimation on Shivanna Sagar project. Demanding that the government order an inquiry by a sitting judge of High Court on these issues, Ponguleti said he had all the evidence in this regard. (NSS)
