TRS govt has no power to implement 12% quota to Muslims: Jagga

Questioning Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao whether his government was empowered to implement 12% reservations to Muslims, former Whip T Jayaprakash Reddy alias Jagga Reddy said Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu made it clear that the Centre was against the religion-based reservations.

He alleged that KCR was trying to encash the votes of the Muslims by blaming the Centre in case the implementation of 12% reservations for Muslims was not possible. The attitude of KCR with regard to 12 percent reservations was like backstabbing the Muslims, he alleged that KCR has 100 tongues similar to 10 heads to Ravanasura and hence KCR was speaking lies easily.

Terming Peddapally MP Balka Suman as ‘Baccha’ in front of Telangana JAC chairman Prof. M Kodandaram, Jagga Reddy said that Suman has no status to criticise Kodandaram. He asked KCR to tell whether Konda Surekha, Talasani Srinivas Yadav, who scolded KCR in the past, became now close and Kodandaram became an enemy. He said that the Congress was one of the partner when JAC was formed and made it clear that the Congress party was extending support to Kodandaram for fighting for the sake of poor. There was no truth that Kodandaram was joining Congress party, he cleared. (NSS)
