Telangana YSR Congress has said that KCR government has been showing apathy towards farmers who are under duress in the Rabi season as loans are not forthcoming.
“Farmers are not getting the loans to carry out the agriculture operations and KCR government has very different priorities other than sanctioning loans,” party spokesperson Konda Raghava Reddy told reporters here on Wednesday.
While a total amount of over Rs 11,640 crores is needed the State has granted only Rs 4,000 crores and the farmers are left in the lurch, he said.
KCR has always been talking about farmers and their welfare but he did not take any tangible step to enable the farmers to get the loans in this agriculture season, he said.
Demonetisation has a very adverse affect and chief minister has been talking in different voices and no steps are taken to ease the cash crunch, he said. (INN)
