Congress senior leader and Rajya Sabha MP V. Hanumantha Rao has alleged that the TRS Government has completely failed on fronts.
Speaking to media persons here on Sunday, VHR said that the farmers of Telangana fell into a debt trap and were forced to commit suicide due to lack of assistance from the State Government. He said that the TRS Government took the issue so lightly that the State Cabinet did not even discuss the issue during its last meeting.
VHR advised Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao and other TRS leaders to concentrate on helping the farmers than criticising the Congress leaders. He also advised the Central Government to take steps to prevent farmers’ suicides. He said the zeal which was shown by the BJP-led NDA Government over the Land Acquisition Bill should be show to stop farmers from committing suicide. (INN)
