Congress senior leader and MLA T Jeevan Reddy on Thursday alleged that the TRS Government has failed to perform on all fronts.
Speaking to media persons in Assembly premises here, Jeevan Reddy said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was not more interested in the doing aerial surveys than understanding the ground realities. He alleged that the Chief Minister was working to serve the interest of some corporate families while neglecting the welfare of common people. He alleged that the farmers’ welfare has been completely ignored by the State Government. While lakhs of farmers lost their crops due to adverse seasonal conditions, the government’s failure to provide them adequate power supply added to their woes. More than 10 lakh farmers did not anything from the crop loan waiver scheme.
Jeevan Reddy said that Telangana has been facing the threat of facing a severe energy and water shortage in near future. However, he said that the government was not showing any seriousness in addressing those concerns. He also slammed the government for its failure to provide input subsidy to horticulture farmers. He accused that the government of not taking any steps to eradicate unemployment. (INN)
