TRS gives ultimatum to Center for formation of Telangana

(Siasat News)Senior leader of TRS, and former M.P. Mr. B.Vinod Kumar told that Mr. K.Chandrasekhara Rao has given 20th August as deadline to Government of India for the formation of Telangana State. If Central Govt. does not take any steps for the formation of a separate Telangana State, TRS would launch protest programmes.

Mr. Vinod Kumar told this while talking to newsmen yesterday. He told that the session of the Parliament has started. TRS is reviewing the stand to be taken in Parliament. Mr. K.Chandrasekhara Rao is observing the stand of the central Govt. Central Govt. had desired not to launch any agitation till the end of Vice President’s election. Now that this election is over, TRS is watching the next step of Govt. of India. Before taking action, Congress Party has to express its stand. After seeing the stand of Congress and Ms. Sonia Gandhi,
Mr. K.Chandrasekhara Rao will decide the strategy of TRS Party.

On Congress M.P. Mr. L.Rajagoapl’s remarks on the formation of Telangana, Mr. Vinod Kumar told that he is only an M.P. and he is not Congress High Command. He has no right to express any opinion on policy matters of the party. He can’t even express his individual opinion. Whatever decision Congress Party takes, he has to accept it. There is a provision for the formation of new states under Article 3 of the Constitution of India. In such a case, how can Mr. Rajagopal oppose the formation of any new State? Targeting the ambiguous stand taken by TDP, Mr. Vinod Kumar said that earlier, Mr.Chandrababu Naidu had sent a letter to Mr. Pranab Mukerjee that he has no objection to the formation of Telangana State. During the tenure of office of Mr. K.Roshiah as Chief Minister, an all-Party meeting was convened. In that meeting also, TDP had expressed its willingness to support the resolution in the Assembly favoring separate Telangana but soon after the declaration of formation of Telangana State by Central Govt., it changed its stand. He told that TDP has to send a letter again specifying its stand.

Referring to the “Chalo Hyderabad Programme” of Telangana Political Joint Action Committee, he said that TRS is reviewing it. Mr. K.Chandra sekhara rao knows that all the parties have to work together for achieving separate Telangana State. He wants to take all the parties with him. TRS is a political Party whereas Telangana JAC is a non-political organization. A political party has more responsibilities. Therefore, the modus operandi of these two organizations is varied. He said that after reviewing the decision of Telangana JAC, TRS would take any decision. He alleged that Mr. N.Kiran Kumar Reddy is neglecting gas projects of Telangana C.M. went to New Delhi to represent the gas projects of Seema Andhra area but he kept quiet on the issue of allotment of medical seats in Telangana. Had he represented it, Telangana could have produced 150 more doctors. Telangana can’t get justice by Andhra rulers.
