Stating that the TRS government was getting weakened day after day and hence it was afraid of TJAC, TJAC Chairman Prof. M Kodandaram has made it clear that their aim was strengthened further with the Saturday’s arrest.
Speaking to the media at his residence on Sunday morning, Kodandaram said that they applied for the permission to Amaraveerula Spoorthy Yatra but police arrested him when he went to take the order. The police arrested about 400 JAC leaders illegally and the police were enquiring about the caste of the JAC leaders in the police station. He said that it was not proper to the police to arrest AICC secretary V Hanumantha Rao, who came to meet him. He informed that he will lodge a complaint with Governor and President on the arrests besides approaching Courts.
He alleged that the state government was behaving against the constitution in the state. “We will explain the incidents took place on Saturday to all political parties. We applied for permission to organise Spoorthy Yatra but the police changed their minds in the last minute and resorted to arrests at mid-night on October 13. It is unjustified that the police are filing cases against JAC leaders under the section 151 which is applicable to the cognizable crime like rapes, loots”, he lamented and demanded the State government to fill the 2 lakh vacant posts immediately.
